ken has been adding insulation and fake walls- turns out a number of our walls weren't insulated at all! that explains a lot. already we're noticing a huge difference.
i've also decided it's time for me to really properly set up my studio (especially if it's going to be warm enough to work in!). i have some pretty ridiculous things in it. one is this chair that we got for $5 when we moved here:
i loved it and love it. but... it's so far gone i can't actually sit on it. it's been tucked into my sewing table, which has been covered in all sorts of who-knows-what, the sewing machine untouched, buried under the rubble.so now i have an uglier seat i can sit on, and a sewing machine i can almost see. i even found the manual. yee-haw!
